Good Evening Shield of Faith Family,

I wanted to give everyone an update on our school opening.  God has been very good to us in helping us find a new location.  The city has been slower in their response than we expected, but we are happy to announce our first day of school on Wednesday, Sept 2nd.  We will be emailing out the registration information to you to fill out for the coming year,

Our new address is 320 N. Garfield, Alhambra, CA 91801.

Our teachers have been at work helping to prepare for our new year with freshly painted classrooms and facility. We have received the go ahead from the city with our new business permit.  We could use all our families; help to move in.

Today our storage container arrived which we are so thankful for. If you are available to help with the move, please contact me.  We certainly need everyone's help.  We will be working daily and this coming weekend as well.  Our goal is to largely moved in by this weekend.

As the City of Alhambra has been working with us, they are requiring for us to have an extensive fire alarm system.  We are in the process of getting those plans approved to from then for final installation.  This cost alone is close to $50,000. God has been good to provide for us to make that happen.  

Our next inspection is September 21st, so we should be able to have permanency in the building on the September 22nd. Until then we are going to have mobile classes at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 512 W. Duarte Road, in Arcadia.  We will have opening Chapel there at 8:30 am on the 2nd.  

We will be using their facility on a regular basis for our larger gatherings.  I look forward to the new school year as we press forward.
